History:
The “historical” background to this app was the desire to integrate an Android device into a building automation concept. I ran into the problem, that the powerbutton was no more reachable in a wall mounted installation. Of course I could leave the display simply switched on, but this doesn’t appeared to be “smart”.
The first version of WOLi made it possible to switch on the display with a UDP command over the WLAN connection. Other features, such as triggering notifications, were requested by the first users and turn into subsequent versions.
With the current and completely rebuilt version additional functions were added. The use of the Calimero library enables direct communication with building automation system KNX.
